ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (April 16, 2013) –

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa today announced The Bay-Atlantic Symphony will bring masterpieces by Tchaikovsky, Schubert, Mozart, Beethoven and Prokofiev to The Music Box in a series of five spectacular concerts from July 7 through August 18.

The concerts will be conducted by Bay Atlantic Symphony Music Director Jed Gaylin and will feature world-renowned soloists who have been favorites of Bay-Atlantic Symphony audiences.

“The concept of taking the great classical masterpieces into a casino showroom is a way to bring this music to new audiences who might not have heard a live symphony orchestra. At the same time, it brings our loyal audience members to a new and different performance venue,” said Bay-Atlantic Symphony Executive Director Paul Herron. “We are constantly trying to find new, exciting ways to present classical music and to build on our established partnerships.”

Borgata and The Bay-Atlantic Symphony forged a relationship in 2008 with a gala 25th anniversary concert featuring Cirque de la Symphonique. The success of this show resulted in annual season-opening gala shows featuring tributes to Benny Goodman, The Beatles, and the Motown Sound.
