Under the direction of Executive Pastry Chef Thaddeus DuBois, serving accessible sweets and eats

 

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (April 10, 2014) – Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa today announced the opening of Borgata Baking Company on Friday, May 23 as the newest addition to its esteemed culinary lineup. Located inside The Retail Piazza, Borgata Baking Company will offer savory and sweet items around the clock as a convenient option for guests on the go.

Borgata Baking Company will serve mouth-watering “sweets and eats” housemade by Borgata’s award-winning Executive Pastry Chef, Thaddeus DuBois. Guests may choose from classic desserts like Napoleons and Eclairs; fun pastries like Cake Pops, Whoopie Pies, and French Macarons; Pullman Sandwiches and warm breakfast pastries such as Cheesesteak Croissants; in addition to fresh-pressed juices, gluten-free and sugar-free options. Borgata Baking Company will also serve fresh gelato flavors prepared in-house by Chef DuBois’ team of culinary talents.

The $1.5 million concept will host its Grand Opening celebration on Friday, May 23 through Monday, May 26 with a “Borgata Golden Chip” promotion. 500 prizes – including free cupcakes, scoops of gelato, Comp Dollars, and the grand prize of $1,000 Slot Dollars – will be won by guests who purchase boxes of French Macarons during Memorial Day Weekend.

In support of Borgata Baking Company’s upcoming debut, Chef DuBois’ immense artistic talents will be on display with his “Sweet & Whacky Edible Contraption” inside The Retail Piazza, starting May 9. Brimming with nine-foot chocolate sculptures and candy flowers, the display will showcase the former White House Executive Pastry Chef’s* dedication to the culinary arts and Borgata’s commitment to providing the most innovative pastry experiences in Atlantic City.
