ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (October 19, 2011) – Strengthening what is already the preeminent poker room on the East Coast, Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa announced today details of its first annual Borgata Fall Poker Open tournament series, beginning on Wednesday, November 9th and concluding with the Borgata Fall Poker Open Championship event (November 20th–23rd) featuring 30,000 in starting chips, two starting dates and a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
The 15-day series, held in the Poker Room and The Signature Room, begins with a $200,000 guaranteed No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) event and will offer a wide array of No Limit Hold’em tournaments, including Deep Stack, 6-handed, Heads Up, Ladies, and Seniors (50+) events. In addition, the series will present H.O.R.S.E., Pot Limit Omaha, Omaha H/L, and Stud events.
The Double Play Re-Entry format for the Championship event will allow players to register for either Day 1A or Day 1B with the ability to re-enter the tournament if they bust out prior to Level 4. If a player is eliminated on Day 1A he or she will have the opportunity to register for Day 1B. As an added incentive, the chip leader at the end of Day 1A and the chip leader at the end of Day 1B will be awarded $3,000 cash.
The Borgata Fall Poker Open joins the Borgata Winter Poker Open (January), Borgata Spring Poker Open (April), Borgata Summer Poker Open (June) and Borgata Poker Open (September) as the fifth major tournament series offered annually and further bolsters a poker program unrivaled on the East Coast.
