ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (JUNE 7, 2016) – Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa today announced details regarding the opening of its Borgata Beer Garden & Outdoor Pool, as well as The Marketplace Eatery.
Set to debut on July 1st, Borgata Beer Garden will introduce guests to a distinctively refreshing concept unique to the Marina District. Open daily to the public, Borgata Beer Garden will feature a full-service canopied bar serving more than 15 craft and domestic beers. An entertainment stage will showcase live bands every Friday through Sunday, while guests enjoy a variety of lawn games and activities. In addition to live entertainment, patrons will be treated to unique events such as "Beer N Bites Happy Hour," "Pig Roast Thursdays" and "Sunday Scotch and Cigars." Also opening in early July and located adjacent to the Beer Garden, the Outdoor Pool will operate exclusively for Borgata and Water Club hotel guests 21 years and older. Over 300 chaise lounges, daybeds, and cabanas will surround the 3,200-square-foot Roman-style pool with capacity for more than 1,000 guests.
Guests of both the Beer Garden & Outdoor Pool will nosh on menu items created by Borgata's Executive Chef Tom Biglan - including Watermelon Salad with Feta & Micro Greens, Smashed Brisket & Short Rib Burger, and Chipotle Chicken Caesar Wrap - while sipping on Borgata Greenhead Summer Shandy by Traveler Brewery and cocktails like the Cuban Peach, Honeydew Mimosa, and Cucumber Cooler. In partnership with restaurateur and real estate developer George Siganos, Borgata will debut The Marketplace Eatery on Friday, July 1st. The casual dining experience will be located below Borgata's Poker Room and The Racebook, offering an array of quick-service fare to satisfy any craving that may arise. The Marketplace will present an inviting atmosphere where guests are encouraged to taste and experience an abundance of fine cheeses, charcuterie, olive oil, and LaVazza Coffee from the coffee bar. A dedicated retail specialist will be available to guide customers through the store and assist in selecting items for customized gift baskets, while an ambient wine bar allows guests to dine in and enjoy a collection of vintages from around the world accompanied by one of many tasting plates. Local Chef Joe Muldoon will oversee the culinary operations, offering interactive tasting classes, and elegant wine dinners, showcasing everything The Marketplace has to offer.
In addition to the market, Eatery dining selections will offer everything from sandwiches, wraps and salads, to Mexican, Asian, Italian, and even Philly-style cuisine overseen by Executive Chef Jennifer Muldoon:
- Chop & Toss Salad Company
At Chop & Toss, greens, vegetables, fruits, grains, and organic toppings are selected to pair with original and tasty dressings. Guests can create their own or choose from a menu of signature salads, wraps, and soups for a fresh and healthy meal.
- Burgers and Fries
Using 100% Grass Fed Certified Angus Beef from Pat LaFrieda Meat Purveyors, Burgerville's burgers are freshly pressed on the grill and served with your choice of Hand-battered Onion Rings, Loaded French Fries, or signature Milkshakes.
- Casa Taco Express
Offering modern Mexican cuisine such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and freshly made guacamole, Casa Taco Express also serves traditional breakfast combinations and indulgent items like Brioche French Toast, Stuffed Egg Skillets, and Huevos Rancheros.
- Asian Fusion: Udon / Sushi & Traditional
At Asian Fusion, guests will find a variety of traditional Chinese cuisine, hand-rolled sushi, classic Udon noodle soups, and Pho.
- Pizata: Pizza & Pasta
Bringing South Philly to the Shore, Pizata will offer made-to-order pizzas and pasta dishes - allowing guests to choose their preferred sauce, toppings, and cut of Tallutos Pasta, as well as dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings for their pizza.
- Philly Steaks And Subs
Hoagies served on fresh-baked Formica Bros. Atlantic City bread will be piled high with meats and cheeses from the market, while Philadelphia-style cheesesteaks will be available wit or witout.
Borgata Beer Garden & Outdoor Pool and The Marketplace Eatery join Premier Nightclub as part of Borgata's significant capital investment across a broad range of projects announced earlier this year. Borgata's development will continue into next year with the launch of a new signature restaurant by Chef/Partner Michael Symon, as well as 25,000-square-feet of meeting and convention space.
