Zakarian to host pop-up restaurant, in addition to culinary demonstration and book signings throughout the weekend

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (July 25, 2013) – For the first time, Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian will bring the culinary creations of his signature Manhattan restaurant to Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa with a three-night pop-up of The Lambs Club. On Friday, August 16th, through Sunday, August 18th, The Lambs Club at Borgata will present a four course menu, offering a special taste of Chef Zakarian’s modern approach to American cuisine.

“Borgata is well known as the premier culinary resort destination in Atlantic City, and I’m thrilled to partner on this project with my friends and colleagues at Borgata,” said Geoffrey Zakarian, Culinary Lifestyle Consultant for The Water Club hotel and Chef/Owner of The Lambs Club. “To bring The Lambs Club on the road and introduce our menu to this market is an exciting opportunity.”

Drawing elements from the restaurant’s location in New York City’s historic theatre district, The Lambs Club at Borgata – located in the dining room of 28 West – will elicit the same clubhouse feeling that has made the original one of today’s most iconic Manhattan restaurants. Chef Zakarian and his team of culinary talents have curated a menu that will offer some of his most celebrated Lambs Club dishes – including Scallop Boudin with Lemon Pudding and Bacon & Shallot Marmalade; Heirloom Tomato and Lobster Salad with Straciatella, Peach, and Basil Seed Vinaigrette; Ribeye of Lamb with Panisse, Dates, Cilantro, and Sweet Pepper Romesco; and Vanilla Panna Cotta with Blueberry Compote, Raspberry Sorbet, and Blackberry Tuile.

“Borgata is thrilled to welcome the first ever pop-up of The Lambs Club,” said Becky Schultz, Vice President of Food & Beverage at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. “Geoffrey has been with The Water Club since its debut in 2008, and it has been his taste, style, and passion for fine cuisine that has helped to establish the hotel as one of the leading culinary resorts on the East Coast. We are huge fans of Geoffrey and couldn’t be more excited to welcome The Lambs Club into our esteemed lineup for three nights this summer.”

As presented by the Savor Borgata Culinary Series, guests are also invited to join Chef Zakarian for a live culinary demonstration inside The Music Box theatre on Saturday, August 17th at 1 p.m. At the event – hosted by the television host, food, and lifestyle spokesperson Sissy Biggers – guests will learn how Zakarian creates some of his favorite recipes, sharing several of his best tips and techniques. Zakarian will meet with fans on Saturday and Sunday during book signings of his cookbook, Town/Country: 150 Recipes for Life Around the Table, at 2:30 p.m. inside 28 West.

Guests interested in experiencing The Lambs Club at Borgata and its four course menu priced at $89 per person, are encouraged to call 609-317-1000 for reservations starting at 5:30 p.m. each night.
